Ebody disc brake kit on a A body, or use E body spindle on A - 08/21/17 05:13 PM

Two questions that are similar
1) Can you use an E body brake it (Baer/Wilwood 13"-14") on 73+ Abody spindles, on an A body?

2) Could you use 70 Cuda spindles on an A body to run a Cuda disc brake kit on an A body?

I ask because Baer does not list a kit for A bodies in the 13-14" size. If the spindles are the basically the same I would think it would work, assuming you have the big ball joint A arms as well.

70 E body spindles have a smaller inner bearing than the 73/76 A body spindles, which mean the rotors are different. If you already have spindles Dr Diff has a spacer so you can use the bigger bearings.

Baer has never figured out Mopar applications. I tried to help them out 10 years ago but they weren't too interested in learning. E body knuckles fit on A body cars so the brakes will interchange. You might have other issues to sort out such as track width and upper ball joint size depending on the year of the A body.

73-74 E-body spindles are the same as 73-76 A-body spindles. Larger inner bearing.

70-72 E-body spindles are the same as 70-72 B-body spindles. Smaller inner bearing.
