Does anyone know what the green coating on the Carter AVS throttle shafts is, and more importantly, who can recoat them?

I would call "the carburetor shop" in Eldon Missouri (Google it). He'll know.

Its teflon. Once removed there is no economical way to replace it. That said, if the shafts are zinc plated and the housing is rebushed with brass bushings it will solve any wear issues so not a huge deal.
