Wiper Blades - 06/08/17 09:40 PM

I am nearing final assembly of my 1979 Barracuda convertible, and I need to round up a few more parts. I can't seem to find the correct wiper blade refills anywhere local. I bought some from Y1 and they don't fit. The arms are Trico brand. Anybody got a source for refills? Thanks.

Check out NAPA, "Classic series". Is your car a 69 or 70?

I have NOS 16" Trico blades listed on Ebay. They are for use with the latch pin type blades. These blades will have the push button on top.

See my auction here:

Post a photo or two of the arm and the blade (if you still have it).
The parts books show only ANCO blades for '67 a-bodies, but both ANCO and TRICO blades for '68.
Between the photo and a '69 parts book should be able to figure out what is needed and/or what was originally on the car.

Go to Trico website, search for the CLASSIC line, get the PN and search for thta PN on parts dealers ( rockauto )

The new stuff I've seen doesn't match the orignals. Certainly true on the Anco pushbottons. Be nice to be wrong on this.

I fat fingered the year. It is a 1969 car. The old crusty blade is 15 inches long. The rubber is bonded to a plastic spine with a groove on each side where the holder fingers slide in. There is no metal on the blade. I will check out the Classic series as well as the eBay link.

sounds like replacement blades. they didn't start the plastic spline stuff until the 90s.

Re: Wiper Blades - 06/09/17 06:43 PM

found it... still available

http://www.tricoproducts.com/Drivers/WiperProducts/MoreProducts/Classic

and refills are the 43 series

http://www.tricoproducts.com/Drivers/WiperProducts/MoreProducts/WiperRefills

can't find the PNs though

Re: Wiper Blades - 06/09/17 06:55 PM

found it on ebay...

ebay sale

then used that PN on Rockauto and got being sold at $8.57

of course will need to add shipping, while the ebay one is "free shipping" but price with shipping is for the unit, while Rockauto will add just one shipping on two units

or maybe can still get it from a local dealer with the PN in hands

you choose

Re: Wiper Blades - 06/09/17 07:00 PM

some cents cheaper searching on ebay by PN

ebay sale '

but then, Rockauto gets discount codes, usually just 5%

Re: Wiper Blades - 06/09/17 07:08 PM

The OP wants a refill, not a replacement blade.

Re: Wiper Blades - 06/09/17 07:14 PM

sorry you are right

well using the logic, and the statement by Trico website, classic refills are 43 series, typed 43-150 ( 150 standing the 15" ) and came with:

refills on ebay

using same PN search around, including rockauto and choose your seller

The longer I wait the cheaper they get! I bet others will need this info too. Thanks for the help.
