I got to drive one that was almost brand new not to long after they came out. It was already on a dealership used lot and I knew a guy so I got to take a spin in it. This place always ends up with rare cars on the used lot just months after they come out, not sure how but they do.

I think the biggest problem with this truck is you are all hyped up about the Viper engine and tranmission. The problem is the truck portion of the deal is just a wet blanket and takes the excitement out of it.

Looks awesome, handles awesome, AMAZING brakes, but the power was kind of a let down. But I bet if you drove one and didn't know it had a viper engine it would feel faster. The thought of the viper engine raises your hopes to high lol. Its really a viper dragging another Viper on a trailer when it comes to performance.

Agree with all of this. Drove one of the regular cab 6 speed trucks back in 2005 or so. Wanted to like it, but didn't care for it as much as I was hoping.

Would be a riot with twin turbos though!

Performance is relative, compared to any other Ram at that time they were way faster.

Like most vehicles that are stock, sometime they can be lacking.

They can be modified and be crazy fast.

A street legal SRT/10 Ram that runs 7's.

Sounds like an all out hot rod truck. Hope it comes with some monster rear tires. Could be a lot of fun or a real ticket getter.

I have a modded SRT-10, and traction is it's problem. Just hitting the gas from a roll will send the rear tires spinning. That said, they are a lot of fun to drive.

I have a quad cab SRT-10, I really like it. Its got not bad jam for a mostly stock vehicle, the auto's in the QC do soak up the power, its a 48RE trans from the diesel trucks. Its pretty comfy, has all the bells and whistles. The QC is full usable as a regular truck, today I pulled home a flat deck trailer with it, I have winter tires for it, I used if for lumber store trips all the time. I bought a mild reflash for it that turns off the torque management, it put down 404 rwhp after that. Before the flash it was 355 rwhp.
Its a big motor, and you'd expect more torque, but it does like to be revved, kick it down and it barks the tires hard on upshifts.
