Who has the best pricing on gull wings?

Who has the best pricing on gull wings? - 06/05/17 06:02 PM

I'm looking for a 71 style wing for my car. Someone put a 70 style go-wing on it and it should have the gull wing so I would like to change it to the correct style. I would prefer an original wing but I am open to aftermarket as well and would like to know if anyone can tell me who has the best prices on them. I don't need a full kit with the mounting hardware and trunk lid supports, just the wing.

First Place Auto has the best wing, always has, currently owned by PUI Interiors IIRC, I'd suggest the entire kit as the 71's mounting hardware/pedestals/trunk plates/etc are different, hopefully your pedestals are 36" apart center to center, as not all 70 go wings are the same....

is your car an original J81 spoiler car, and do you wish to be accurate?
early '71 model year vehicles used the '70 style wing

when & where was your car built?

Really? That's very interesting.

What is the change over date?

Is it different for different factories?

I've seen original Aug/Sept of '70 HAMTRAMCK cars w/'70 style
&
original Aug/Sept/Oct of '70 St. Louis cars w/'70 style

I've often wondered what spoilers the GY3 440 6bbl "PROMO" 'cudas had on them when they were originally displayed by Chrysler work

No, it's not an original wing car. The previous owner added a 70 style wing rather than a 71 but it does have all of the correct style brackets and hardware though. The car was built in March of 71 but I don't know what plant it came from.

by March of '71 they would've/should've had inventory to put the correct '71 style wing on a car

It has been my understanding that it was a dealer installed optioned as original and the type depended on what the dealer had left. Of course, I only know what I've been told and am far from an expert at anything.
