Need help with my 450 rims - 05/24/17 01:21 AM

I'm assuming these are the wheels that came on my car as it has super low miles on it and has been storage for a very long time. Dosent seem like the car has been messed with al that much. Three of the rims have 1 then a 15 on the other side of valve stem. And one has a 1 and 16. Looks to be a matching set. Would these be correct for my 70 challenger Ta?

There also an H stamp on the back

There should be a small "o" stamped by the rest of the date code. You have 1-15 and 1-16 of 1970 wheels which are right for the car. The mid January dates are common for T/As with steel wheels.

I believe the date on my TA 450 wheels was 12-2-69 but the 1-15-70 wheels are a very common date.

Also got looking the trim rings over and noticed that three are brushed on the inside and one is polished, I'd assume the brushed are correct to the car.

The sticker on the brushed trim rings all look like this. I would have have to believe these are the original.

brushed 15" trim rings showed up during the run of Superbirds (I think Chrysler was trying to save a few pennies on a car they were loosing $$ on each unit)

they returned for the AAR & T/A as STANDARD equipment twocents and were STANDARD for 1971

AFAIK the brushed 15" for '70 was:

Superbird (late w/15" W21) - AAR - T/A ONLY

not sure if that was clear in what I typed above shruggy

So you are saying Brushed for all Superbirds? No polished for Superbirds?

early W21 F60-15 Superbirds polished #3461043
&
late W21 F60-15 Superbirds brushed #3461222

GG's "white book" has the change before/after 12/10/69 production

so ..... Superbird #1679 RM23V0A170843 arrived at Clairpointe on 11-Dec & departed on 12-Dec ..... it is going to be right on the bubble - What do you know about its original wheels/trim rings? Is there a broadcast sheet?
