64 Plymouth Fury front end rebuild kit - 04/18/17 05:37 PM

I was wondering what kits were out there to rebuild my son's 64 Plymouth Fury front suspension? What people have had good luck with and pricing. I have done a little searching on the internet but seems limited what I am finding and how complete the kits are. It can be stock rubber style since we won't be road racing it.
Thanks for any help.

I rebuilt the front end on my '64 Dodge Polara back in 1997 and I got a kit from PST(?) I think. It was complete, but I did not use every part. Now you can buy the parts individually from www.Rockauto.com and they are cheap. The one thing where I deviated from stock parts were the C-Body tie rod adjusting sleeves that I got from Firm Feel in Vancouver, WA. I also bought gas charged shocks that were not stock, but I cannot remember where I got them. I bought the special socket that it takes to remove the upper ball joint and a good tip is to remove that ball joint while the control arm is still on the car, otherwise it is hard to hold it in place while you unscrew it. The rest are just nuts and bolts. I did the disc brake swap at the same time

Never thought to check rock auto for suspension parts. Bought lots of other parts from them. Thanks

Used the PST in my 65 b body.it was decent but that was years ago.Used it in my kids Lil Express truck also.We were using Moog or TRW when we could get TRW.Better than Moog and cheaper. If you can find TRW its best.i heard Moog has gone down hill.PST does make a decent kit for what we bought.Rocky

Working right now on the front end of my '64 Polara. Purchased all the parts from Rock Auto and the prices were extremely reasonable.. and added up was much less than any "kit" out there. They even let me send back the upper "A" arm bushings when I discovered mine had been swapped out for '65 units which take a different size. Great to work with.

I'm also doing the disk brake swap at the same time. '75 Dart spindles, caliper mounts, calipers and master cylinder, along with Diplomat 11.75" rotors.

X2 on Rockauto: good prices/good selection/fast shipping. Some parts were damaged intransit (gotta love USPS) & they shipped out replacements WO wanting verification.
