Helix brand parts - 02/16/17 12:31 PM

From E-Bay. Has anyone had any problems with them? I do believe they are China copies?

Yes. Many have. They have many businesses all under the Hoffman Group. Stay away from these guys.

Really! the parts from what you can see look pretty good on the Internet. I get the whole "don't buy made in China" thing. But with so many parts being reproduced how do you know. I seen many engine and suspension parts and of course body parts reproduced.
They have a copy of Wilwood steering spindles! Or is Wilwoods spindles made by a China company?

Part quality is only part of the issue and this is not a "don't buy China parts" issue. It's also about poor service, being sent parts that don't match what was ordered, getting stuck with large re-stocking fees when returning parts, etc. etc. Take the risk if you want. The reason for responding to your thread was to answer your question about this company. It is well documented. Search Google if you want more detail.

You asked for opinions and you received them. You sound as though you don't want to believe them or dispute the responses. So be it. Every item I bought from them for a customers vehicle, one by one, failed shortly after install as did the replacements. I finally removed everything I bought from them and returned it for credit as I could not get a refund. I was forced to buy 2k worth of inventory that I didn't need at the time to use up the credit down I then had to buy the replacement components from other sources and eat all of the cost / labor involved.

By the way if it is steering spindles you are contemplating buying, that is a component I certainly wouldn't advise being cheap on. beer
