Has anyone used this decal when restoring a Strato Vent control? Have you noticed anything odd about this decal when it is back lit at night time?

So here is a clear pic of my Strato vent control after i have applied the decal to the backing. As you can see it is a fine quality decal with very good contrast between the black mat background and the white script. The font is good and the cut outs are quite accurate. My question is has anyone noticed problems lighting up the display at night on account of the fact the script is now on the backing instead of the clear plastic lens as in the OEM controls? The 2 little 12 volt bulbs illuminate 2 small pockets on either side of the control and pass through a blue plastic lenses. From there. there are 2 very small vertical slits on either end of the backing that allow this blue light to pass to the front of the control. Originally, this blue light would illuminate the clear plastic lens so that you could see the script as contrast from the plain black backing. That no longer works and I was wondering if other people have noticed this? I tried sticking a small mag light into the hole to see the effect and all you see is 2 small slits of blue on either end. The control face is completely black with no script visible.
