A friend had one rechromed and from all of the buffing, they had to re-engrave the hurst letters. Looked no where close to the original letters. I'd call a few chrome platers and get their 2 cents.

Brewers as mentioned, they have some original (restored) and repro sticks available for A/B bodies

I'd be inclined to see if the lever is still available new; last time I looked, there was still a wide selection of the Competition Plus levers. You may be talking about the OEM push-in style, though, and those may not be available.

I've sent two shifter handles to Atlantic Coast Plating in TN. Turnaround time is quick and price was very reasonable. I've also had them do several other steel pieces as well as pot metal pieces and have been very pleased with all they've done.

Any GOOD chrome shop can do this and protect the fine details of the original part. There's a shop in Piqua Ohio that does good work. D&D bright works
