K&N fipk 57-1509 intake tube recall,durango,dakota

Any one using the K&N fipk p/n 57-1509 kit for 5.2/5.9 durangos /dakotas,If you have'nt been contacted by K&N,call them at 1-800-858-3333 as they are recalling and replacing the air intake tubes on these kits.This will be my third one(running the 2nd one that replaced the first.),the first one fell apart where the molded in ring that mates with the throttle body,and the pieces jammed it W.O.T. ,fortunatly no one was hurt,got it shut down and to the road side safely,D.

i have the Mopar Performance one on my dakota. id amagine its the same. but would k&n warranty it? because mine is starting to crack also.

Give them a call,you never know, they might cover it if they produced it for mpp,D.

I have 2 that I bought at a swapmeet. There not cracked yet. Should I get them replaced anyway and do you need sales receipt?

From what I understand,you have to be the original purchaser w/ a warranty card on file w/K&N, but I would give them a call anyway,D.

I had two, both cracked. Got them warrantied from K&N- really easy to deal with.

Same here,I have never had problems w/ K&N standing behind what they manufacture,good people to deal with,D.
