3431624 - 72 B & E-Body - Variable or 3 Speed After Approximately Sept. 1, 1971
0872 = 87th day of 72
3431906 - 74 B & E-Body - Variable or 3 Speed
2323 = 232nd day of 73

It is a vendor (manufacturer) code. It is on almost all the parts on your car. With that number Chrysler was able to tell who made the part and where the plant was located.
