Best rear wheel size for 69' B Body - 10/18/16 09:38 PM

On a 69' Super Bee, what is the largest wheel and back spacing on that wheel that you can run and still have the car sit low enough over the tire without rubbing ....with stock suspension and maybe a lowering block ? Also, what tire size ?

Thanks

You could probably find a 20 inch rim that would fit....but are you looking for something like that? Common size wheel/tire combo would be a 15 x 8, 4 1/2 backspace and a 275/60-15 tire.

Thats what I have on my 69 R/T. 275 60 15 tire. 15x8 rim 4.5 backspace. Fits nice. Also room on both sides for turning into a driveway without rubbing.

15" x 8" 4.5" backspacing, 275 60 R 15 tire is what I am running on my stock 69 Charger R/T with no issues and a stock suspension. My leaf springs are stock, and worn. I have friends with new stock rear leaf springs that are running 295 60 R 15's.

On my '68 Road Runner, 295/50R15s on 15x8 4.5 BS fit with plenty of room to spare. Stock springs, ride height, & rearend (Dana - Hemi car).
A couple guys on Moparts with '69 Road Runners have more tire on 15x10s with 5.5 BS and have said no problems.
I think Super Bees & Chargers have more room, but I never checked on my Chargers and never measured or owned a Super Bee.
