quick carb question

Whats the best medium to soak a carburetor in before a complete rebuild?. 1st time rebuilding one... its not too dirty.... any suggestions would be appreciated.....

It's pretty expensive for the 5 gallon container. You can buy one gallon cans at parts stores but larger parts don't fit in the can.

get a metal pan/bowl at the thrift shop just big enough to set the main body in & pour the soup into the carb bowl. its the internal passages to be cleaned that are critical. you can bristle brush the outsides/venturis etc

I don't think the newer carb cleaners contain methylene chloride. If it does, be very careful with it. Pretty nasty stuff. Don't get it on you and try not to breath it.
