V1W - Vinyl top in white boars grain. (no landau top available)

Aftermarket or dealer installed. Common back in the day.

Note the aluminum trim as opposed to stainless used on 69 top trim. And more importantly the ends are hand crimped down to in an attempt to wedge under the drip molding. But doesn't really interlock or meet together very well like a stock piece would.

There was/is a "well worn" 73-74 barracuda in Santa Monica with a landau rear canopy top. Looks extremely odd.

Why does the tag have viw and f8 for the top. No sign of f8 under the top except at the very bottom.

It's a '69 coding thing.

Vinyl top trumps paint code.

Each plant could code things how they wanted, so not all of them did things exactly the same.

Nothing around the windshield looks like it had a vinyl roof. No staple holes or anything.

Why is V1W on the top row and not were F8 is for the top color. I thought that the top color was on the next to the bottom row.
