wiring harness preferences / opinions ?

looked through that and it seems split down the middle. all i can say is my car will be setup for daily driving and road racing and will have all sorts of addons like like those heated/Air Conditioned seats, air conditioner, stereo, radar, etc etc

You asked the same, basic question, in a previous post almost 2 years ago. In that post, 2 members gave Ron Francis so how is that "split down the middle"?

well one person made the argument that ron Francis unit relies on box that only can Francis can fix another suggested the American Auto wire.

Sorry if I caused any trouble. it's been a while, 2 years i guess since i've done any research on available parts and kits for my car.

I did my 65 dart from scratch by setting the harness(es) on the floor and making a new one next to it, a duplicate for the most part, I lengthened some wires as needed and went to a larger gauges on some as needed. crimp/solder/shrinkwrap one wire in & cut the old one out of the old harness till the new one took shape and the old one dissappeared. there are sources that will sell you the exact lengths of wire you need & #1
#1 #1 use the same colors including colors with tracers that Ma used. it was ALOT of work even on a bare bones 65 dart but it should be trouble free for a long time if I keep the ammeter needle close to 12 0'clock and if I do add extras that I relay em directly to where they will be fed from which is the alt

Both kits have advantages and disadvantages depending on what you prefer.

The AA kit is more model specific, it uses a lot of the factory connectors and switches and adapts through the factory bulkhead opening. The main drawback IMO is the pre terminated fuse box. It may leave you with unused wires / circuits coiled up under the dash.

The RF kit is a bit more generic and covers a wide range of years. It does not appear to come with the factory connectors and also does not adapt to the bulkhead opening. However it does have a fuse box that allows one to terminate the circuits /wires as required. It is similar to an AA hiway 15 or hiway 22 kit. hope this helped a bit

Does this mean the bulkhead opening will need to be modified or plugged shut? I'll check out those kits as well.
