1968 Coronet rocker panel molding removal

1968 Coronet rocker panel molding removal - 06/26/16 02:20 PM

I'm about to attempt removing the rocker panel moldings off of a 1968 Dodge Coronet 440 model. These are the ribbed style moldings. I know that there are plastic clips that secure them and one screw for each side at the quarter panel end of the molding.

I want to try to preserve the clips and not damage them in the process. What's the best methods to go about when removing these moldings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Push up from the bottom edge and pull the upper edge away from the body

I know you don't want to hear this but, I took mine off going over some rail road tracks at a stupid speed, back in about '84. eek
I didn't stop to pick 'em up. blush

The above approach sounds much more reasonable. up

HAHA! You are asking how to take yours off (which I cannot help) and I just posted a thread on asking how to put mine on. Post or send me a pic of how the clips are arranged on your rockers so I can try to figure mine out. Or visit my thread and offer insight please. Thanks!
