Who makes shocks for a 1969 C Body?

So, I am hitting my head on a brick wall. Seems that unless I want a basic KYB, no one seems to make a performance shock for the 1969 300. I was hoping to do something like a Bilstein for better handling, but they tell me they dont make a shock for these cars anymore....

So plan B...

Ask on here! lol Anyone know of any companies selling a performance shock for C bodies? I can find places like Hodgekis selling cool stuff for A, B, E body, but not C.

What is the shock lengths for these cars front and rear collapsed, and fully expanded? I will look this up the hard way if I have to. If I can find another car of similar size.....

Bilstein makes them, or so I am told. My understanding is you gotta reach out to them

Firm Feel offers the RCD shocks. Having put a set in my 69 GTX, I recommend them. Will put them in my 67 Newport come the day I ever get it back on the road.......

I ran NAPA heavy duty gas a few years back on my Imperials.They are heavy.On the rears I ran their gas truck shocks.Rocky

1969 C body shock lengths and info :

monroe #32073 - rear - 13.750 compressed, 22.875 extended
mounting : LS39 top - 1/2"id. sleeve, 1 5/8"wide
L2 bottom - 11/16"id. bushing 1 9/16" wide


monroe #LE10009 [sold as pair] - front - 8.000 compressed, 12.250 ext.
mounting : S top - straight stem - no dust shield
LS15 bottom - 7/16"id. bushing, 1 3/8" wide

Bilstiens, you won't look back. Excellent shock. After you put them on you'll swear you are driving a different car. Yes they are expensive you'll be getting your monies worth. Give Dick at Firm Feel a call.

now that you have the lengths, if you find the type of shock you want but it doesn't come in "mopar" flavor, often times you can simply change out the upper and lower bushings. i remember a post some time ago about using a GM shock for a "???" in a C-body by changing the bushings. i may have to take some time and search through my catalog and see if i can come up with alternative GM applications [popular and cheap] that may be adapted via bushing changes.
