If you are just looking for some driver type replacements, go to RockAuto. They will have the largest selection of the cheapest shocks and struts.

You could go to the parts store and watch the counter guy tap on the computer and hope he can get you some struts, lol.

Appreciate the input. Theres been so much stuff discontinued on these cars that I figured I better check on the strut situation.

Is it a standard srt4 or acr?

Re: SRT-4 needs struts - 04/17/16 04:37 AM

@ moparjim79: Standard SRT-4.

Everything I read says the struts need modified to fit those Koni shocks.

I've super busy and can't get time for projects. I was hoping for a strut that just required moving the springs and be done in an hour.

Not 100% sure these are identical replacements, seems the lower perch may be different than stock and at the price you think they be perfect and include installation.

Oof. I cant afford to play in that arena. Thanks for looking though!

(Now I wonder if Viking or AFCO could whip up a double adjustable in that same price range devil )

4 single adjustable struts for 900, not quite as good as I first thought.

I have no idea what the difference is between SRT4 and R/T struts is, but, on my 2004 R/T, I cut my original strut housings for the Koni inserts and have been very satisfied. I run them at the softest setting.

yup, OP has this choice as well. If you want a quick way out of this you can buy a complete quick strut asm from someplace and just put your springs on. I would not recommended though....Just out of curiosity, did you check with a dealer? Just the struts are not hateful actually, last time I inquired(2013)

Yeah unfortunately with the SRT-4s, you really only have two choices. OEM Mopar ones or ACR spec adjustable Tokicos which are big bucks. There is no other cheaper aftermarket direct drop-in choice available. Not looking forward to having to do mine down the road....

I hear ya 69Bronze. The transmission parts situation has me thinking keeping this car too many more years won't be a smart idea. Then I find out this strut business.

The shameful thing is these are really good cars for getting around and I definitely like the turbocharger for the torque it provides.

The positive thing is SRT4 transmissions are a dime a dozen. With the high rate people are writing them off daily, parts are plenty.

It took me a good while to find a bone stock low mileage unmolested SRT-4. I have no plans to ever get rid of mine smile
