Looking into my options for intake manifolds on my 440 in my 71 charger. It has no hood currently so I can run anything I want, but eventually it will be getting a glass power bulge hood. Can I fit anything besides a holley street dominator?

I have a 73 Charger with a factory bulge hood. My combo is a 400 based stroker, Holley 4150, MP single plane intake, 1/2" spacer + heat shield (1/8"), and 2" air filter just clears. A 3" filter hits on the back edge.

Is the hood clearance a little higher in 73/74 b bodies due to iso pads?

The power bulge hood does give a good amount of clearance. My 451 Engine, 400 block, B1-b/s heads, Mopar M1 with 1" spacer and 1,000 cfm 4150 HP holley carb, along with a Moroso drop base air filter, 3" filter element and K&N filter top all fit under the bulge hood.

Same for the current 500" 400 stroker with Victor MW heads, Indy single plane, and Quick Fuel 4150 E-85 carb with the same air filter setup as above.

There are also filter bases with more drop, just need to make sure the top lid clears the top of the carb by at least an inch.

Im still figuring out what carb I want with my combo, so many choices out there, but it sounds like I can use any single plane I want. Thanks yall
