Maltize cross?

I started cleaning up a block and seen it has a maltize cross on the distributer pad. I cant remember for sure is that for oversized lifter bores or....???

IIRC the cross is undersize crank bearings and the cross and an X is undersize crank (.010) My 400 had the cross

Diamond is the lifters
