Just wondering why my 727 trans spins so freely one way and feels real tight spinning the other. Is this normal ? I know my car has always been a little harder to push backwards , Ideas or just info would be great.

It's normal and has to do with the sprag/roller clutch locking in one direction which then spins the front drum in reverse.

Thanks for the info.. I have had so many problems with my 727 I was hoping it was normal..

Be careful on trying to spin it backwards because it can damage the overrunning clutch.

I thought so too , I mean you have to push the car backwards sometimes ??
