Challenger Mud Guard Push Retainer Rivet Thing ID help - 11/10/15 10:41 PM

I've been looking all over for the black plastic push retainers used on late model Challengers for the mud guards on either side of the bottom engine cover, and also for the front mud flaps. Nothing I find matches what's on the car (2010 Challenger), and I have to assume that they may not be original due to previous "repair"

Anyway, they appear to be for 1/4" hole (6mm or 6.35mm), with a .786" bottom head diameter (20mm), .470" top head diameter (almost 12mm), and an overall length (assembled) of .978" (about 24.8mm)

There's tons of these things on Amazon, but none of them appear to be quite right. I found this particular style, but they turned out to be for 8mm hold and were way too large.

The male shank is rectangular, and the female bottom portion is connected at the very end.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks!

I have found that kind of fastener in the Dorman Help section of the local parts stores. Take an old one and match it up.

I neglected to mention a bag of 25 or 50 of these would be good. I know they charge an arm and a leg down town.

visit a quality auto body supply store.

You're welcome. Someone posted that link years ago on here and I've had it since.
