Any way to come up with production numbers by options? - 10/07/15 12:39 AM

I have an in-violet 70 V code Cuda project Auto on the column, bench seat, non rallye gauges with shaker hood & 4.10:1 Dana, dog dish wheel covers. Just wondering if many were built this way? Is this information available anywhere? Thanks, GTS

Not really. Many options can be figured by percentages, but it's difficult to determine how they all fit together. I would say that very few others, if any, were built as your car was...

I would say yours was ordered bare bones !! Probably 1 of 1. Don't be tempted to add buckets and floor shift console !!

Bare bones, are extra cost options now considered bare bones ??

due to the huge possible combination of available OPTIONS, most ordered (Y14) cars are "one of one"
with $901.70 worth of OPTIONs mentioned ($hundreds not mentioned) - I'd have a hard time calling this 'Cuda "bare bones"

1970 US spec. (Y05) BS23 = 16,710 cars (100.0%) $3164.00

drivetrain combination * 40 choices 440+6 w/auto & 4.10 DANA (E87, D32, A32) ~ 368 cars (2.2%)
A32 = $250.65
D32 = $227.05
E87 = $249.55
exterior paint * 20+ choices "in-violet" (FC7) hi-impact paint ~ 1,554 cars (9.3%) $14.05
interior * 19 choices black bench seat interior (H4X9) ~ 802 cars (4.8%) $15.15 blush
interior * 19 choices white bench seat interior (H4XW) ~ 150 cars (0.9%) $15.15
wheels * 7 choices STANDARD hub caps (combined 14" & 15") ~ 2,573 cars (15.4%)
tires * 5 choices E60-15 Polyglas GT (U82) ~ 1537 383/440/440+6 cars (9.2%) $47.95
hoods * 3 choices "SHAKER" hood (N96) ~ 1,036 cars (6.2%) $97.30
gauges * 2 choices STANDARD gauge cluster ~ 8,088 cars (48.4%)

Thanks all! Mine has white interior & I believe f60-15 tires. I have the fender tag & build sheet but I'm not real good on the build sheet. I'll have to check on the Y14, I don't remember seeing that code. GTS

Y05 26 END
N41 N42 N96 R11 V6X
J45 L31 M21 M25 M31 M88
FC7 A01 A32 B51 G31 G33
FC7 H4XW 000 B05 XXXXXX
E87 D32 BS23 V0B XXXXXX

There is the fender tag codes. GTS

With those options, I'm guessing it was a sales bank car. My GTS convertible was a sales bank car (340/727, buckets, column shift, manual drum brakes, power steering, 3.23 open rear, day/night mirror, outside remote mirror, poverty caps).

B05 = Wednesday, November 5, 1969 - an interesting day at Chrysler's Hamtramck, MI assembly plant. 1400+ Plymouth Barracudas were "scheduled" for production, the "norm" was less than 250 per day. work wonder if the dealerships had an end of October promotion of some sort and piled on the orders?

we are now at $1,051.25 worth of OPTIONs eek
What else does it have: power steering? tinted glass? rear speaker/defog? undercoating? clock?

stripes * 12 choices "black" - sport stripe (V6X) ~ 3,977 cars (23.8%) $25.90
radio * 4 choices AM radio (R11) ~ 13,034 cars (78.0%) $61.55
RH mirror * 4 choices RH chrome racing mirror (G31) ~ 2,072 cars (12.4%) $10.95
LH mirror * 3 choices LH chrome remote racing mirror (G33) ~ 3,793 cars (22.7%) $15.15
light package * 2 choices (A01 includes L31) ~ 6,082 cars (36.4%) $36.00

the remaining codes are STANDARD (or already covered) on a '70 'Cuda

Seems like most cars like this with the options listed, would also have more options especially like buckets/console for example ... that's all I ment

A whole lot of cars can be taken to 1 of 1 if you include all the options. All my cars are 1 of 1, they are the only one like that that I own! The OP definitely has a differently optioned car but I can see someone wheeling the $200 1 of 1 sign in front of a 4 door at a car show.
