Dodge Demon info anyone? - 01/25/09 02:48 PM

I have had several hours to sit and think about 2 cars that I seen over the weekend. 1 was a 340 Duster and the other was a 340 Demon.
Does anyone here know how many Demons were made with a 4 speed?
Does the color of the car make a difference as for how many were built?

I don't know how many Demon 340-4sp cars were made, butI do know that mine was one of them. It was also originally Plum Crazy. I still have fits wondering why the guys I bought it from cut-up this car instead of a /6 car.

You can find a lot of Dodge Demon info in the HH Library. Just go to the main library grid & start clicking the icons in the 1971 & 1972 columns;

Sure it is not a B-1 Powder Blue car? I can't tell much from that pic. Here is a link to paint chips for mopars. http://www.mymopar.com/paintcodes.htm

BTW that year is Blue Streak Blue for a B-3 paint code.

TB3 is Super Blue on a Dodge, Basin Street Blue on a Plymouth. Better known as "Petty Blue".
1972 was the first year it was designated a traditional paint code instead of 99 or 999 special order as it had been in previous years.

HB1 was known as Blue sky on the Plymouth , and light blue on the Dodge .

I guess what I should ask is.

What is worth more?

A 340 4 speed Demon with the side stripe & hood graphics or a 340 4 speed of a rare paint?

Hood graphics? Do mean the blackout like this car has?

BTW, US Built 1971 340 4 speed Demons: 2,051, plus an additional 998 340 3 speeds
