69 Super Bee pinion and brake offset - 09/19/15 03:15 AM

I'm having a custom length S60 made from my car.
It's a 69 Super Bee with the leaf springs relocated 3" inboard.
I mocked up the wheels under the car and measured wheel flange to wheel flange.

The spec sheet is asking for pinion offset and brake offset.

Strange Dana 60 I am guessing. Pinion offset would be if you want it in the middle or offset to one side or the other. Brake I am not 100% sure of.

S60 is the Strange housing with threaded carrier bearing adjusters, no shims or case spreader needed to achieve preload.

Pinion offset on a Dana 60 is not be the same as a 8.75. Dana 60 uses different axle lengths, 8.75 are equal length. I would spec the pinion offset the same as an OEM D60.

I'm guessing brake offset will be the distance from the housing flange to the axle flange.

An S60 is essentially a new and improved Dana60.

For the sake of my question. What rear end doesn't actually matter. I need the pinion offset for a 68-70 B body.

My builder is Bear's and they said 1 3/16" to the passenger side.

Dr Diff said stock 4.5 on 5 Mopar is 2.525"
