Help with throttle cable bracket

Help with throttle cable bracket - 09/14/15 02:34 AM

I would like some help with the throttle bracket on my low deck 499 stroker motor. I am running the Holley street dominator intake, but the factory throttle bracket will not sit properly on the intake. Has anyone figured out which bracket will work with this intake? I am running the factory cable.

I would go with the AR Engineering throttle bracket.
I will work with just about any manifold and you can put the cable bracket in the place where it fits best.

Gus,

Is that the extra tall or standard tall bracket from AR Engineering?

The one in the picture is the extra tall version. Generally with a Dominator you need the extra tall. A Holley SD is a fairly short intake so the standard bracket should work unless you're going to run a really tall carb spacer.

Thanks Andy! I will order the standard bracket tomorrow. Will this also work with the performer rpm with the holley dp?

I agree with Gus.I run the tall one on my 65 B body 440 M1 with Dominator. My kid ran the Holleys on his 62 413 with stock linkage but it was linkage not cable.Rocky
