Battery Charging Question

I put a Marine battery in the Dart a year or two ago because it was almost new and i don't use the boat anymore. i have the battery charger on it to top it off because it's been sitting for several months, should i use the regular or deep cycle setting on the battery charger? Thanks.

I use deep cycle on my cars that sit for long periods. The gel batteries have their own setting.

Hope i didn't damage it...I had it charging on automatic regular all day because i forgot it was a Marine battery. Thanks.

whoa i missed that the first time, deep cycle batteries have gel in them instead of acid?

Use a FLOAT charger.

I,m using 3 of those right now. One is 8 years old and still works fine.
