71 340 Cuda Dual Point Distributor Question.

Been trying to get a new set of points for my original dual point distributor before I head to Norwalk in a few weeks. O Reilly's gave me two single point style, their computer telling them they are for a dual setup but they're wrong. Anyone happen to get any of these lately from a local parts store and know the part#?

"joesixpack" on here (likely) has em for sale. Since your trip is several weeks away you'd have time to contact him/purchase a pair/get em sent to you. Otherwise I'd just call the rest of your parts houses & see what turns up

Setting the dwell on a single point small block is bad enough; on a dual point - yikes! That thing is crying out for a pertronix upgrade...

OOPS. Not so fast. I looked this number up on the Napa site and they are like the set that were incorrect that I already bought from O Reilly. The mounting and breaker point is just the opposite of what I need. I have the original Prestolite Dual point for a 1971 340. What application did you purchase the CS720P for?

Here is the CS720P and other points I've bought so far in the 1st shot that won't work. 2nd shot is the points I need.

Finally Found the correct ones. They are Standard # AL5255P. Echlin # CS721A.

big block dual points&273-340 dual points are polar opposites of each other...you want #2421175 mopar or 1-28 or 1-40 Prestolite X2
