Anybody install 2 1/8 tti hemi headers on an ebody and have the driver's side header hit the transmission pan lip? Also interferes bigtime with the shifting linkage. Clears everywhere else though.
Ps. Dont mind the dingy old pan, just on for installing purposes lol.

The TTI site says it will interfere with the shift linkage, you did see that when you ordered them right ?

As for hittin the pan, maybe show tti a pic and see what they say on that? Or just dent it over perhaps.

No I didnt read it before they were bought, its not my car. But to do the mod they say to do in the instructions to the linkage support ( shorten 1/4") isnt going to be enough. Did you look at the picture? Its off by a bunch. smile

When the headers are made with stock measurements a small amount of machining (decked block) may throw them off. Try doubling the flange gasket. A small amount spacing at one end of the header may result in 1/4" or more at the other end.

It just seems like the collector end is bent into the transmission on the drivers side. Other than that, everything else has room.

Are you using?:

Schumacher conversion mounts?

Original Hemi K-member? What car did it come out of? What number is stamped on the coin?

Repro K-member? If so who's?

What company's repro hemi motor mounts are you using?

What type/kind of trans mount are you using?

What heads are you using?

Schumacher mounts. Factory k member. Stock trans mount. MP heads.

On this deal though the mounts don't enter into the equation. That header would hit if the trans, engine and headers were out of the car.

I have Schumacher mounts on a V8 K-frame. My TTi 2.125 headers do not hit the pan.

I would bet that that driversideheader was not sitting correctly in the jigg during welding. No other way for them to hit the tranmission pan unless your transmission is bent and that is not a likely option.
Mounts are irrelevant in this case.

Double check PN, I had similar issue with TTI install hitting linkage.
They had sent wrong part.

I only have a 340, but they may have made a mistake with you too......
