What are your thoughts....using a napa gold filter

recently read that the amsoil filters are top notch in design and filteration

Amsoil changed vendors on their oil filters a few years back and aren't as good as they used to be.

I recommend the Donaldson Synteq #P169071 - Link

Full synthetic microglass media with a nano-fiber substrata. One of the best flowing, best filtering oil filters on the market. And at $11 bucks, not too bad of a price.

There is Joe Gibbs Driven break-in oil.

IMHO the Driven line of lubricants is pretty close to state-of-the-art.
