where does the lower bracket mount for the stock floor console shifter on a 1972 A body. can't find where to mount it?????

If it uses the flat bar with the 90 degree bend at the end, it attaches to two holes at the bottom of the trans tailstock.I believe the holes are tight in front of the trans mount. Its been many years. Gene
