A friend of a friend just bought a 70 340 duster and was told her 6k is incorrect,should be 8k?

6k is correct, some restorers will add 8k as an option but they never came that way from the factory.

Was that the 1970 340 Duster listed on the LaCrosse WI C/L?

Did they all have the red print after the 5K mark? My 71 cluster is original and in super nice shape but its all in white font? or did it just fade?

Based on what I've observed the 70's and the early 71's were all white then they changed to have the red sometime in 71.
