340 block ID

On a 340 block where do I find the block ID numbers, what do I look for to show it's a 340? Also what 4 speed trans would be behind a 69 or 70 340? Just joined this site cuz am buying a 69 340 Swinger ( 2nd one - bought one new )and I know these sites are good for info etc. Thanks

Vin pad - Passenger side, down low.

Serial number with CID & other build info - Front face below drivers side head.

It would also have the casting number with 340 on the drivers side under the exhaust manifold.

The 4-speed transmission should be an 833 if it is the original. VIN on the passenger side of the box.
