Corner drip rail stainless trim install procedure - 05/01/15 03:25 PM

Is there a trick to installing the drip rail corner trim pieces? I’ve tried first installing both trim pieces and then the corner piece over the two trim pieces as well as installing one trim piece, installing the corner trim over the one trim piece, and then trying to slide the other trim piece under the corner piece. Needless to say I have not been successful with either approach (I feel that the required force may result in damage to the paint or the corner piece).

So what is the correct (best) way to do this with minimal risk to damaging the paint?

Any help would be appreciated.

On all of the ones I have removed I always unhook the bottom first and take them off. On the two I have installed I put them on last over the other two pieces locking the top in first and then tapping them down till the bottom locks. Both of mine were on vinyl top cars. shruggy

Thanks - got them installed. Turns out the one I was working with was slightly deformed, making it difficult to get over the other two pieces. It tried my other corner piece and it went on relatively easy.
