How many of this Roadrunner were built? - 02/07/15 11:58 PM

Putting together a tribute for a friend that bought this car in 1970 after Vietnam and wondering if someone can tell me how many of this type were built? 1969 Roadrunner 383HP, 4speed, Y2(Sunfire Yellow)top&body, Tachometer, 2 door hardtop, black bench seat, built in St. Louis Jan. 16, 1969. I know nothing is out of the ordinary here, but the info. would be appreciated by him. Thanks to anyone that may be able to help me.

There is no way to know how many cars with any combination of options were built.

Ford tracked that, but Chrysler did not.

percentages from GG's "option & accessory report" (RM23H9G203*** 116-SPD):
1969 Road Runner 383HP 4-speed ~ 21,278 built for U.S.
Y2 - a common popular color in '69
NO vinyl top ~ 54.3%
H2X ~ 68.5% had bench seats & black was most common
tach ~ 11.5% had a factory tach

Road Runners were built at 3 assembly plants for '69 Lynch Rd. Detroit, St. Louis, & Los Angeles.

Dan,
Wanted to thank you for the great info. I'm positive this Vietnam veteran will really enjoy these stats!

P.S. The fender tag is all we have left, other than misc. parts and old photos. Thanks for the offer, anyway.

Since this is a 69 STL built car, I'd be interested in learning more.
