What is it? I used to use a Permatex gasket sealer that was that color and would work if I thinned it down a bit. Sadly I can't find it anymore as sealers have moved to a silicone base product. Anyone got a clue? What do you use?

We used to buy it in small bottles - a couple ounces. Its also available in spray bombs - spray it in a cup and brush it on.

Looks like it's sold by electrical supply houses. Maybe I can find a tiny container or tube or spray bomb. Granger maybe. Eastwood and Summit want to rob my grandmother blind.

Keep in mind its often used to paint the inside of a block so quarts make sense. And it is a specialty product. You're more likely to find it at electronics supply places than electrical I think. Maybe even Radio Shack or whatever they call themselves.
I did a google search and surprisingly, the cheapest I found was right here in the great white north - about 30% cheaper !!!

I found some small bottles on Amazon.com for $12. That's not too bad.

BTW - I used a combination of red and black liquid electrical tape and it looked exact a long while back. Black is easy to find, red is usually in older hardware stores. Looks like you found something that works though.

Wally, thanks for the tip! Evil, that's a good thought too.
