Small Block Pushrod ID?

Small Block Pushrod ID? - 11/13/14 09:14 PM

In my never ending quest to organize my junk, I came across a box of small block valve train stuff. It contained about 50 pushrods, of which there are 3 distinct varieties.
Anybody know the correct applications for 'em?

Top one has ball/ball ends, 7-7/16" long, .313" diameter.
Middle has pressed in ends, 7-1/2" long, .28" diameter.
Bottom has 1 pressed end and the other is tapered, just under 7-5/8" long, .28" diameter.

The ones from my 360 look like the one in the middle. I'll look at them more closely when I get home. They were originally out of a 76 360.

OEM Small block push rods from a hydraulic lifter engine (late 273, 318, 340, 360) are all the same length and ball and ball.. Push rods from a solid lifter engine like the 273 are much longer and are the cup and ball type.
