Putting a 71 cuda together, bb/727 and this crossmember seems to be putting the mount to far foward

Chrysler standardized the trans mount location in 70 doing away with the need for two cross members. Then in 71 on b body cars they changed to the spool mount for the transmission.
Hard to tell for sure from the picture but yours favors the correct one.

I think the poly mount I bought is making the fit a bunch tighter and has a little more meat on the forward edge that mounts to the trans
