Our own Dr Diff has a nice kit that includes a parking brake. The rotors are 11.7" Here's a pic of it installed on an 8.75" It bolted on nice and easy and everything you need is in the kit.

If you have a street/strip/touring car that needs a durable kit with dependable parking brake, I make 3 different versions, depending on your wheel size and application:

1. 10.7" rotor
2. 11.7" rotor
3. 13" rotor

All kits include 100% new parts with stainless flex lines and parking brake cables included. I use OEM Mustang Cobra calipers. These are true, rear disc units with small pistons, so you will not be rear-biased. In addition, replacement parts are available at any parts store.

Please E-mail me for more information.

I've got the Dr. Diff 11.7 kit. Haven't got the car on the road yet, but it's very easy to install.

In fact, it's so easy to install that my 4 year old daughter could do it...

Not sure if Cass will check back in on this post or not, but maybe someone else knows. Can his rear disc kit be installed on a 69 B-body with factory front disc / rear drums without replacing the master cylinder or anything else... i.e. just swap the drums for discs?

Thanks... sorry if this is a hijack!

I think you should be able to just swap out the drums... and add a proportioning valve. But why bother? If you want upgraded performance, you need to start up front.

You'll also need green bearings. I think ALL rear disc kits require green bearings.

I recommend a 15/16" bore master cylinder and disc brake lug studs. You must also bend your own rear hard lines.

You can re-use the original tapered wheel bearings, however.

Thanks for the replies... I finally have a Dana 60 ready to put back in the car since it was removed in 1981. I'd like to use the DrDiff front and rear kits, but thought it would help spread the cost out a bit if I could put on the rears now when I put in the Dana without changing much else, instead of bothering to build the current rear drums and put in the Dana just to replace them later with the rear discs. Wait a bit to absorb the cost of the rear discs and then do the fronts and new master cylinder. Just curious if I'd run into any problems doing it that way.

Definitely....I have Wilwood's, which are great, light, super simple, 4 piston calipers, two piece hub/rotor, but the Aerospace ones are the next step up. And a 4 piston caliper is so much better at stopping than a production 1 piston caliper, its a wonder we even use them.

I have wilwood drum in hat p-brake rears on mine...nice kit, but if they had been available, I would've used the dr. diff 11.7" kit, I think the mustang calipers are a little more all-weather friendly than the wilwoods if you drive year round like I do.

Did you have to install green bearings to run the rear Wilwoods?

Get the brackets from TSM manufacturing and the rest is common parts store stuff.
