Removing inner seal in speedometer housing

Removing inner seal in speedometer housing - 09/12/14 11:09 PM

Does anyone have a easy method on removing the inner seal found in the speedometer (TF727) housing they can share? This is the small dime-size seal which the speedometer cable slides into. There's a retaining clip holding the seal in place. Thought I'd ask before I start stabbing it with a sharp object and screwing things up.

If you are removing it who cares what happens to it,unless you'r going to reuse it!

The clip just holds it in and can be pushed out easy.

screw driver to remove , thin deep socket to push the new seal and clip back in
