904 ?

So my buddy gave me a 904 that he said had no 3rd gear. other than that he claims it worked fine. Any ideas on what to look for? Or is a total rebuild in order?

3rd gear is the front clutch...must disassemble to fix so you might as well go for a full overhaul.
