'Cuda... mint NOS shaker trim ring - 01/02/09 10:02 PM

Is there a repro out there that even compares to an orig. ring? If so, how close is it? I know the pentastar & numbers on an orig. NOS ring are faint and hard to spot. Also, consider the weight... orig. rings are heavy. Another consideration is the quality and consistency of the threaded studs on an NOS/Orig.

Yes, Mike at www.BEAPARTS.com sells an EXTREMELY accurate reproduction now, shape, fit, cast in part# and Pentastar, every detail. It's even far better than what I used to sell, (which until Mikes came out was the most accurate reproduction out there). The weight is very similar to an original. The studs in Mikes are cast into the ring as originals were, but Mikes are made of steel and were inserted before molding the ring. Originals were made of zinc as was the rest of the ring in originals but other than that I doubt anyone could tell one from an original once primed and painted.
