Coupe Windows 1968 to 1970 B-Body True or False? - 08/09/14 02:29 AM

Are they the same or different?
I am talking the pop out windows kind...are they the same on a Dodge and Plymouth 1968 to 1970 b-body?

Does anyone have pics of the two?

Thanks!

Dodge and Plymouth are different , Dodge is smaller in length front to back

Thanks John, is there a way to tell them apart by looking at them?

Are the coupe "posts" different on the cars? Is that why they are different.

It's the "bulge" in the upper body line of the quarter panel that causes the Dodge glass to be smaller.

I am not sure what you mean. Hardtop glass is the same between the Dodge and Plymouth though right?

Oddly yes it is , I put the rear quarter glass from a charger in my 69 RR.

As far as the dimension , measure your car , Plymouth is 2" longer.

The hardtop glass is the same because the excess can stay below the belt-line. A coupe's quarter glass has to "pop" out past the quarter panel. I can get dimensions later today.

If you could get the measurements that would be great.

The Plymouth lower edge appears to be a straight line VS. the Dodge's being a compound curve.

mmmm... just a question, not glass related... this would mean the upper interior panels are not interchangeable either right ?

what other parts could be related to this difference ?

I'm asking this because IT SEEMS a friend of mine found "locally" ( actually in Colombia but close to the border, and he lives in Venezuela close to the border ) a 69 RR 4 speeds with B post what could buy, maybe could be the only one running in Venezuela soon, and will need lot of parts

Sorry the highjack!

Son of a B. (no pun intended).
I never would have known they were not the same!
Then again, I'm not a B-body guy...

Did Road Runner have two different "pop out window" assemblies? One longer than the other?

Hard to tell in the pics but the shorter window has its own screw hole, the longer one fits into a slot.

Hopefully you can see it in the pics.
