70 RR Door Glass Removal?

I have everything loose in my door but the vent glass frame won't pull out, what am I doing wrong? I have got to get the doors painted and then put them back together so how do I get them back together without tearing up my new slides and stuff? TIA Ronnie in Okla

Which are you trying to pull out? Just the door glass, or all of it?

I pulled apart my 69 RR and had to remove the triangular shaped rubber stop at the top of the vent glass (small phillips screw),

Then, behind that was another phillip screw that I took out to seperate the channel from the vent frame. I carfully pulled it out about an inch or so to give me clearance to pull the whole door glass out.

I think the door glass channel overlaps has a nylon wedge in it that seats to a mating nylon wedge in the mating channel on the door handle/lock side. This may require you to drop out the channel bolted in the door first.

It seemed a bit tricky to get them out.

Then I took the rest of the vent frame, etc, out.

I'm trying to get it all out so I can change the glass and paint the doors. Ronnie

Have you loosened the Allen head bolt that is accessed through the hole in the upper door frame? There is a little plastic plug about the diamater of a pen that will need removed to access the Allen head bolt.
