1970 B Body Steering Column - 07/14/14 01:34 PM

Hello I am in the midst of tearing down my 1970 Dodge Charger steering column. It is an auto on the column shifter type. My question is how do you remove the flange near the upper part of the shaft. Or is it removable at all? I've attached pics with my situation. Please view all pics (4).

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Pat that did the trick!!!
It's amazing how much you work on things and then you stumble across a head scratcher. Something so simple yet hidden from your eyes. I didn't want to just start pounding on things not knowing what was going to happen and cause potential damage.

Thanks again
