Where are these located on a 2007 Dakota? I am looking for the axle code. I have a 4X4 quad cab, with the 4.7 HO, and 3.92 axle ratio. I am curious as to the size of the axle. Is it an 8.25, or larger? My former 2002 Dakota 4X4 quad cab had a 4.7 also, with the 3.55 axle ratio, but the rear axle was the 9.25. Did Chrysler stop installing the 9.25 in the Dakotas?

If they are the same as the full size trucks, look on the front of the radiatior support.

Well, I appreciate the info, but it isn't located on the front of the radiator support. Anybody else have any ideas or tips?

Well, I have searched the inside of the glove box, inside the console (removing the plastic CD holder, too), and checked all 4 doors. So far I have not found anything. Are there any techs that would be able to help?

What about somewhere behind the seat on the cab, doesn't it have storage areas behind the seat?

There is a storage area behind the rear seat (it's a Quad Cab). I didn't check there. But near the spare tire carrier? That's actualy under the truck. Could it be there?

call a chrysler dealer parts dept with the vin,they can tell you what axle it is

Just look underneath it
The 9.25 cover looks like a stop sign, the 8.25 is noticable smaller and flat on top and bottom.
