'69 AVS 4615S Questions - 06/20/14 12:55 PM

Can anyone provide me with scans of the '69 FSM pages that cover the AVS carbs? I'm fixing up a 4615S and need some info. It has a code L8 next to the carb number. Does that mean December '68 build date? When did they switch from the single left hand thread mixture screw to the dual screws used on the SA models?
Thanks!

L8 is the date code,Dec 68,the SA is a replacement,as for the mixture screws,who knows for sure.Here is a 4617 440 4spd dated H8 with both.

Correct, the cross over date (switching from a single screw to duel mixture screws) is unknown. As far as I know they never came from the factory with all 3 as shown in the pic posted above, at some point someone likely added the lower two screws to that one (which doesn't hurt anything).

Not that it matters much but L8 is Nov '68. The letter "I" was not used to identify the month on a Carter.
