72-73 B Body front suspension interchange - 05/26/08 07:33 PM

A buddy just picked up a nice grandma car, 72 Satellite for his daughter. It's got manual drum brakes. Sorry, no pics. I still haven't found my camera.
He's also got (at his other house, a state away) a 73 Satellite. Power discs.
This should be a no brainer swap, but how deep does he need to go?
Spindles out, M/C & proportioning valve (easy), or arms out and dashbrace/pedal assembly + M/C and lines + Proportioning valve?
I'd tell him to look and measure, but the 2 cars are currently about 450 miles apart.
Any old hands at this?

73 up spindle is 3/8" taller but will fit, they are the same as the late model F/M/J spindles. 73 up control arms will not interchange with 72 down. Have him get master booster with mounting plate distribution/proportioning valve pedal assy and spindles out.

you better find that camera, you have several local shows coming up in the next few weeks

Thanks! I went to one at Prescott (Middle School) and the York Chrysler show. No pics...
IS there a good site for local stuff?
