Did 71-74 B-Bodies have heated seats? - 05/22/14 12:55 PM

I went to go take off the tracks on the mutilated seat on this 72 Roadrunner and I see this contraption on the coils with two leads coming off of it...Maybe its not heated seats (its so narrow what could it heat anyways)

What is it?

No heated seats. Those are for the fasten seat belt light that started in 72. They detect weather someone is sitting in the seat or not.

And in 1974 they actually stop the car from starting if there is someone in the seat and the seatbelts are not fastened. It is not a chime, or a light, it is an interlock.

My 69 has Porsche seats in it...Quite happy with the airbag adjustments...not motors, nothing to fail (except maybe the diaphragm) to have heated and cooled seats...we'll just leave that for those prissy luxury cars
